Our values

The following values were developed by the OSQH team in February 2007.  They can be summarised by our motto Lead, Transform, Achieve, Together.

These values guide the work done by the people who work in the OSQH in order to help make WA health care safer:

Lead

We lead and foster a system culture that values safety and quality in health care and focuses on system improvement and fairness not on individual blame.

Transform

We work closely with others to transform our health system to one that has patient safety and health quality at its centre.

Achieve

We achieve safe, quality health care through engagement and communication with patients, carers, consumers, clinicians, health care professionals, health care administrators, and the community.  We achieve our goals and milestones.

Together

We work collaboratively with each other and our partners to build capacity for the delivery of consumer-focused safe, quality health care in Western Australia.
