Our goals
- To engage consumers and patients as partners in the development of safety and quality at all levels of health care
- To ensure all available tools and methodologies are available to support clinicians in their work. This includes ensuring that evidence-based best practice information is developed, accessible and used to reduce variation in clinical practice
- To facilitate system improvement through redesign, improved accountability and greater use of information
- To identify, report and manage clinical risk at all levels of the health care system
- To enable a system health care culture that values safety and quality in health care and focuses on system improvement not on blame
